BFG Podcast #073

‘Andor,’ Colleen Hoover, and ‘The Great British Baking Show’

On the latest episode of the podcast to end all entertainment podcasts, host Neal Pollack welcomes resident Star Wars expert Scott Gold to talk about ‘Andor.’ After being burned by later episodes of ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ and ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi,’ there’s no way that Neal and Scott are going to fall into the trap again by saying that Andor is good. Or will they? It’s a dark, gritty espionage drama with not a Jedi or large monster in sight. And it’s in no way drawing in our critics to later disappoint them.

Meanwhile, Paula Shaffer is reading TikTok sensation author Colleen Hoover so you don’t have to. Young women in hopeless relationships with toxic surgeons named Chance seem to love this writer. Neal wonders if he should take to TikTok to sell his own books. That will go great.

Finally, Daniel Cohen appears to chat about the latest season of The Great British Baking Show. Both he and Neal agree that full-time nanny, amateur boxer, and knockoff Drake lookalike Sandro is both the show’s leading thirst trap and also the presumptive winner, or at least a finalist. Neal offers Daniel some tips on how to watch the show. It goes better with frosting.

Enjoy!
